Corrine Wilm Selected As November Student of the Month
Hilltop Country Day School Eighth Grader Corrine Wilm was chosen by the faculty and staff as November’s Student of the Month.
Nominations are solicited from all faculty and staff for Upper School students who have exhibited exceptional academic success in all of their classes during the month, but who have also modeled the school’s Core Values of Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Kindness.
“We feel it is important to recognize not only the academic success of our students, but also highlight those who are leaders of our school community and model the qualities and characteristics that we value and work hard to instill in our students,” said Head of School Peter Gordon.
Corrine serves as Student Council treasurer, a title that requires her to be a part of every council meeting and means she is responsible for student fundraising and keeping track of student funds.
She is also a member of Peer Leadership where she is a spokesperson for the school at fundraisers and is a role model for her peers at Hilltop.
Corrine also ran cross country this fall and will star in the school’s performance of “Looking Glass Land” in February.
Outside of school, Corinne enjoys caring for her two horses and she volunteers at a local pet store taking care of stray cats and securing homes for them.
