Hilltop Honored for 50 Years By Sparta Town Council
Hilltop Country Day School was honored on September 12 by the Sparta Township Council with a proclamation recognizing the independent school’s 50 year history in Sparta.
The proclamation states that Hilltop has “fulfilled its mission by providing small class sizes with personalized attention and a flexible curriculum by the administrators, faculty members and staff.”
Head of School Kevin Folan, who was on hand to receive this recognition, said the school is honored to be recognized by town officials for this significant milestone in the school’s history.
“Hilltop has been a staple of the Sparta community for 50 years,” he said. “While a lot has changed, what has remained the same is Hilltop’s commitment to project-based learning, small class sizes and individualized curriculum, and a nurturing environment for students to take risks and make mistakes despite the academically rigorous nature of our program.”
Hilltop will recognize its golden anniversary throughout the school year.
