Debbie Gioello Named as Featured Artist
Art reveals my inner self. Art reveals my ideals and what I value. Art expresses a passion for life
“As an artist and designer, I am influenced by shape, form, harmony and color so evident in nature and life. My visual and emotional experiences are transformed and creatively expressed in my art work,” says Gioello when describing her artwork.
Gioello’s ties to education and her innovative spirit make her a wonderful match to front the art show at Hilltop where she will run programs for area students prior to the exhibition. “Having conducted art workshops with young students before, I am always excited to see their creativity applied to a new project. Art education allows a young mind to explore their creativity and see it to fruition. In my opinion, once creativity is allowed to flourish, it is applicable to other solutions in life.” explained Gioello. While head of the fashion department at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Gioello was a recipient of numerous grants to research and develop military and police apparel. Her patented ribbed undergarment is worn by police, security and military professionals throughout the world.
