Chloe is an eighth grader at Hilltop who has been attending since kindergarten.
What are you involved in at school? (I.e. Student Council, Ski Club, Ensemble, etc.)
I am the President of the Student Council, a member of Ski Club, Instrumental Ensemble and the golf team and I take piano lessons.
What do you love most about Hilltop Country Day School?
I love the small class sizes which is nice because the teachers have the time to work with us individually. This is helpful when I need help with my work.
What is one word that best describes the school?
Connected. I chose connected because the students are all like one big family. Everyone knows each other and are comfortable no matter what grade you are in.
Describe one of your favorite teachers and the impact that this person has in your life?
Mrs. Katzenbach not only teaches us about history, but she also teaches us about current events and politics. That way, I can participate in conversations and I always know what people are talking about. She also teaches us independence. Her independent study projects help me figure things out on my own and not always be quick to ask for help.
In what ways is Hilltop Country Day School preparing you for high school?
Hilltop teaches students good study habits and how to have confidence. I will use the study habits to prepare myself for the exams and tests that come in high school.
What would you tell a friend to encourage them to consider attending Hilltop Country Day School?
I would tell a friend that the teachers are encouraging and give their full attention to their students. They equally support the students when you need help and always answer your questions.
